Dear partner's in service and friends, we appreciate the time you shared with us On Thursday as we hosted Dr Imelda Namagembe who took us through an educative and motivating presentation on "The Burden of Maternal Mortality in Uganda Compounded by Covid 19 in Pregnancy".
We learnt that Rotarians are able to do more in MCH (Maternal Child Health) and Prevention of Covid-19.
The causes of maternal mortality - Heamorrhage, Sespsis, Hypertensive diseases, Ruptured uterus, Ectopic & others.
Rotary has made significant strides supporting polio eradication , medical camps, sanitation, building hospitals and health centres.
Rotarians still have a big role in fighting covid 19 and continue to save lives by supporting pregnant women from communities to health facilities to prevent deaths.
About covid19, Rotarians should support vaccination , Follow SOPs (wash hands, sanitize frequently, use appropriate masks, avoid crowds.
Kind reminder: Maternal & Child Health is the 4th Rotary Area of Focus
